Creative Placemaking
In the domain of creative placemaking, the challenges within the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) underscore substantial gaps in entrepreneurship, transversal skills, and collaboration between research entities and businesses. These gaps stem from limited interaction among cultural and creative clusters, innovation actors, and a noticeable absence of creative and artistic expertise in vital social development endeavors. Addressing these challenges highlights the urgent requirement for a cohesive and robust CCI ecosystem capable of integrating diverse sectors and skills to foster sustainable societal advancement.

What a year! Even today we are unable to comprehend fully what the pandemic 2020 left us with: The pandemic hits everyone, either on a personal, economic or global level, we are all affected The fact we know so far is a drop in sales for the creative industries by a third or even 50% in some sectors. The event industry was the first to close and the last to reopen, and a steep personal learning curve for the means of digital communication. These are only few of the things that no one had foreseen at the beginning of 2020.
